Bakken & Bæck is a digital product development studio working out of Oslo, Amsterdam, Bonn and London. In close collaboration with ambitious clients, we design and build digital solutions and businesses from end to end. You might have seen our work for Vipps, Coinbase, Samsolgt, Morgenlevering, and Kron or stumbled across some of our own previous ventures like Wake.
When we are not making world-class digital products, we are dedicated to making a friendly and inclusive workplace. We do trips, conferences and events together on a regular basis, and we are always committed to cultivate a company that embraces differences. We strongly believe in flexibility, and know that creativity doesn’t necessarily always happen between 9 and 5. At Bakken & Bæck you’ll be given a lot of freedom while translating complicated problems into easy-to-use products. This means managing your own priorities, trying out new things and working a flexible hours' scheme.
As a Product Lead your role will be to put yourself in the shoes of our clients and see things from their perspective while taking business needs and scope for design into account. You’ll work in a cross functional capacity and be involved in all stages of a project - from translating client discussions to an idea, to product roadmapping, leading teams internally, and facilitating workshops. You’ll also work with new business - conceptually but also reactively and proactively by way of pitches or similar.
We’re on the lookout for someone who’s had hands-on experience with design and branding, and has eventually gone on to take a bigger role on customer projects - think client contact and sitting in an advisory capacity. Design is at the heart of everything we do, so we believe the right candidate comes with some years of customer-facing design experience, or hands-on product ownership of a digital product, as well as a keen business sense.
- Demonstrated experience leading and shipping digital design projects
- Experience delivering projects in a client-facing role
- Extensive hands-on experience doing design and branding work
- Experience with facilitating workshops with designers and stakeholders
- Fluency in Norwegian and English
Bonus if you have an interest in and/or experience with:
- Conducting and coordinating user research
- Product management from a startup/scale-up
